This second set of publicity images of Newfoundland was issued in 1928.

The 3c is King George V and Queen Mary.  The 4c is the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII.  Other values have descriptions incorporated within the designs.

These stamps were originally released in 1928, but in 1929 the contract was given to a new printer. The new printer had to then create new printing plates for most of the values (not all were to be reprinted) by engraving new dies based on the designs of the original stamps. There are many differences in the details, but most are slight.
