Some 15c airmails were overprinted "L&S Post" (meaning for use on Land and Sea) in 1933 due to a shortage of the regular 15c stamps.


The Grenfell commemorative was issued in 1941.

The 30c Memorial University College stamp was issued in 1943.

A shortage of 2c stamps in 1946 resulted in the overprinting of stocks of the 30c stamp. There is a noticeable difference in alignment of the overprint between the upper line "TWO" and the lower line "CENTS". Also, on the right stamp the 'N' of "CENTS" shows the effects of underinking.


The 5c Cabot was issued in 1947, the 450th anniversary of his discovery of Newfoundland.

The 7c airmail was issued in 1943.
